A suppliers' forum provides the opportunity to get suppliers in front of clients, consultants and contractors. Bringing this audience together enables discussions to take place which develop greater understanding of the range of opportunities and issues associated with procuring recovered materials. This is a particularly powerful networking opportunity when taking place in the context of large scale redevelopment projects.

, which provides some detail on the key considerations required.
For smaller projects, a search through web sources and telephone calls would be sufficient. There are online web sources which hold information about recycled & secondary aggregate suppliers throughout the UK:
Requirement to Establish Viability
The Protocol approach requires that recovered materials should only be procured for the new build when the following conditions can be met:
Targets for Recovered Material Procurement
Where the conditions of quality, price and quantity can be met, the project team should demonstrate that the target for procuring recovered material reflects the potential of the building/infrastructure to accept such materials. This is unless it can be clearly demonstrated why a lower target is necessary.
Recovered materials for the new build project can be sourced from demolition works related to the new build, where it makes sense to do so. Alternatively, materials can be procured from reprocessors who have sourced materials from unrelated demolitions. In this way, potential issues related to timing differences between demolition and the new build can be overcome.
