Supply Chain Overview: New Build
The flowchart below provides an indication of the different influences and drivers in the supply chain for new build.
In summary, the drivers shown in the flowchart are as follows:
- External: policy, legislation, public opinion.
- Internal: where the different players in the supply chain influence one another.
It is recognised that the complexities of different construction contracts (Design & Build, Traditional etc) will result in some differences to the drivers shown. For example, a traditional construction project, may result in the client appointing the design team through a Professional Service Agreement (terms of engagement), accompanied by a Briefing Document. The ICE Demolition Protocol would then be adopted through this agreement/document.
