Forthcoming Legislation

This is a consultation on the coverage of the periodic review of the Process Guidance Notes for the installations regulated by Local Authorities under Part B permits. It proposes to undertake the review of all 80 process guidance notes between 2009 and 2011. The consultation documents, a summary of responses and the review schedule are available from DEFRA.

The review of the guidance notes for the Minerals sector should be concluded by April 2011. Information will be available from the Environment Agency.

DEFRA and the Welsh Government is currently running a consultation (12 March to 6 June 2012) to gather views on the transposition of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) which will replace seven existing directives that are currently implemented through the EP Regulations.
